After a demanding year, my partner and I spent Thanksgiving in Barbados. No agenda — just the change of pace we needed.

Most days were beautifully simple: time by the water, long swims and walks, great food and drinks, festive music, and lively conversations without the pull of the next obligation. It felt restorative to truly slow down.

Celebrating Thanksgiving there stripped away the usual noise, creating space to reflect on the year behind us and what truly matters most.

It wasn't a "packed itinerary" trip. It was a genuine reset — the kind that lingers long after you're home.

Grateful for the time, the place, and the reminder that intentionally stepping away sharpens perspective — both personally and professionally.
